It’s a very process to get the Aadhar card. You can get the appointment online and then visit that center according to your appointment details with valid documents. Then it will take 60 to 90 days to get Aadhar card letter by post. But it will be posted within India only. But in case if you will go before getting the physical Aadhar letter, don’t worry you can download it online too.

Please read the steps in detailed here in same article. Thanks.

      Hey Easarul,

Father’s name can be updated offline via ‘change in address’ option. It starts with ‘C/O or S/O or W/O..” there you select S/O and then make the necessary edit and attach a relevant document proof attesting the same and that’ll do. You need to post that form to UIDAI center.

For more details check this article: https://aadharcard.in/update-aadhar-card

Please get back to us for any further help. We will be happy to help you.

    Hi,

My son is a student (16 yers old) and an OCI card holder living in India since he was six months old. From the various blogs and data available on the internet (as well as the reply posted by you), it seems that OCI/PIO card holder living in India can apply and get the Adhaar Card just like any other India Citizen living in India.

The TOI article dt 9 Jan 2016 is about OCT/PIO card holder NRI who are living outside India and the Government is considering issuing Adhaar card to them as well.

Please let me know if my understanding of this issue is correct?

      Hey Vikash

When you apply for Aadhar Card you will get the paper copy within 30 to 90 days at the given address. You can download the eAadhar online number of times you need it there is no restriction to it, but you wont be able to download if your Aadhar Card is in processing stage.

So to sum you can download your eAadhar before or after you get the Aadhar Card copy. And you will get the notification on your registered mobile number when your aadhar number will be generated.
If still you will face any issue, please let us know we will be happy to help you.
